These clear silicone rubber gaskets (set of 2) are factory-installed on the underside of the mounting bases. These provide a slip-resistant seal between the mounting bases and toilet bowl, which keeps the toilet seat securely in place.

IMPORTANT: Before installation, be sure the gaskets are clean and dry. To clean and prepare the bowl surface, we recommend using Windex or any glass cleaner around the mounting holes. If both surfaces are clean and dry, the rubber gasket and ceramic surface are tacky (almost stick together). Be sure to tighten mounting screws very firmly.
