Thank you for letting us know about your BR501-00 Executive Elongated toilet seat not staying open. I am very sorry for your trouble and can certainly help!
Some toilets limit how far the seat can lean back, usually because the tank or lid sticks out, or the seat mounting holes are too close to the tank. To make the seat stay open, please watch the video below, which covers the following steps:

Make sure the tank lid is pushed back towards the wall, as far as possible.
Adjust the seat as far forward as possible:
a) Remove seat via Quick Release and remove the mounting base covers (caps), so you can access the screws.
b) Loosen the screws enough for the mounting bases to move easily.
c) Re-attach the seat and close the lid.
d) Using both hands, grab the seat on both sides towards the back of the seat, lifting slightly to un-stick the mounting bases, and pull the seat forward. The seat and mounting bases move together, and the screw heads should slide to the back of the screw slots. Ideally, the screw slots should be parallel, pointing straight front to back, and the seat should overhang the front of the bowl by 1/4 inch or so. Confirm the sides of the seat and bowl are aligned and tighten the screws.
TIP: Alternate tightening the screws (left and right, back and forth) to maintain equal tension on both sides. Be sure to tighten the screws securely.
Open the seat to test. If it stays open, great. Remove the seat, replace the mounting base caps and re-attach the seat.
If the seat won't stay up, it likely springs back, separates from the lid, and falls forward. Bath Royale’s 2-year warranty is double that of most brands, and its slow-close dampers are designed to last 10 years. Because they are new, the dampers are tight and stiff, like a new pair of shoes, which may cause the seat to spring back away from the lid and close by itself. Sometimes, you might need to soften or 'break in' the dampers by lifting the seat, pushing it toward the tank, and holding it down for three seconds. Firm pressure should be applied back towards the tank and downward towards the bowl for 3 seconds. In essence, you are telling the seat where to stay. It may take several cycles of closing the seat, opening and pushing it back against the tank and down. TIP: Rather than waiting for the seat and lid to close by themselves, you can speed the process by force-closing the seat and lid, then opening together. Unlike other slow close seats, Bath Royale seats can be force-closed repeatedly, without damaging the slow close mechanism. If you can get the seat to stay up once, it will progressively improve with time and cycles.
