Executive Toilet Seat

Please try these tips
Adjust the seat as far forward as possible to increase the seat lay back angle. Here's how:
a) Remove seat via Quick Release and remove the mounting base caps so you can access the screws.b) Loosen the screws enough for the mounting bases to move.c) Replace the seat, close the lid and pull the seat forward towards the front of the toilet bowl. We recommend having the seat overhang the front of the bowl by ¼ inch or so. That way, the seat can be lifted more easily without touching the front of the toilet bowl. NOTE: When fully extended, the screw heads should be at the back of the screw slots in the mounting bases.d) Re-tighten the screws.e) Open seat and test to be sure it stays open.
Be sure the tank lid is pushed back (toward the wall) as far back as possible. This too, should increase the seat lay back angle. Normal lay back is approximately 5 degrees beyond vertical.
If you have some lay back and the seat still does not stay open, the slow-close dampers may require “breaking in”. Like a new pair of shoes, new dampers are tight. Try opening the seat and pushing it back against the lid, keep applying pressure (back toward the tank and down toward the toilet) for 3 seconds, then release. In essence, you are telling the seat where it belongs. It may take several cycles of opening, holding for 3 seconds, then closing the seat and lid for this to work. NOTE: Rather than waiting for the seat and lid to close themselves, it's OK to force-close both the seat and lid. You may try alternating between opening/closing the seat and lid independently, then together. Once 'broken-in', you and guests should not have to push or hold the seat in place.
